Samantha Pope is a textile and mixed media artist who lives and works in Murray Bridge a rural city one hour from Adelaide, the capital of South Australia.

Samanthas working background includes 9 years in the sewing machine industry and 5 in arts and crafts. This has given her a wealth of knowledge reflected in her diverse range of art including free machine embroidery, machine felting, pastel painting, mosaics, quilting and much more.

Samantha's art works span across a range of media including textiles which combine fabric manipulation, stitch mark making, felting and beading.

After getting married in 1999 Samantha moved to the family farm in Brinkley near Murray Bridge. Samantha finds constant inspiration from the natural environment that surrounds her home which is in stark contrast to her urban upbringing. The local Art and Craft community in Murray Bridge and surrounding district has a wealth of knowledge and enthusisam that is inspiring. Samantha's work often reflects the textures and colours of the flora and fauna of the area.

Samantha writes project articles for Machine Embroidery and Textile Arts magazine in Australia and is now avaiable for workshops and demonstrations.
